Pharmacy in Ticino
Work in a pharmacy is complex and demanding. Even at the most hectic times, one must maintain the utmost precision, strictly adhere to regulations and protocols, and treat customers with highest professionalism. As the owner of the pharmacy, I consider it a priority to ensure a safe working environment and to promote mutual support, especially in the most difficult situations.

Support in difficult situations
In a pharmacy, sensitive situations can occur. There may be complaints, claims, cases of people in a state of emergency. It is crucial for me that my employees know they can count on my full support in these circumstances. Security and mutual support are essential to deal professionally with even the most complex moments.
Protective equipment ‒ better one too many
We carry out many preparations in the pharmacy. Although many of the substances used are not particularly dangerous, we still take protective measures by always wearing gloves, goggles and masks during processing. To ensure an optimal working environment, I set up a small, well-equipped laboratory.
Safe movement within the building
Safe movement within the pharmacy is also of paramount importance. In our case, the stairs leading to the storeroom in the basement can become a potential hazard. To prevent accidents, I have replaced the handrail with a safer and more stable one. I’m planning to install strips on the steps to improve visibility and further reduce risks.
Take employees' needs seriously
Obviously, you are in close contact with ill people every day. After the pandemic, my employees expressed the desire to maintain the plexiglass barriers to feel more protected. I granted their request, recognising the importance of these barriers ‒ especially during the winter, when colds and flu are more frequent. The barriers not only offer a greater feeling of safety, but also help reduce the risk of infection.
Communication is essential
Communication is crucial in our pharmacy. I am committed to ensuring that every problem is addressed at an early stage, promptly and transparently. To facilitate quick and effective communication, we have created a chat group, where employees can share questions or report problems. I find it essential to maintain constant contact to offer support and ensure that everything runs smoothly, regardless of my physical presence.
